Tap Dance
Tap focuses on rhythm patterns, timing, and precision.
Elevate your dancing by making music with your feet! Similar to learning an instrument, tap classes are a fun way to enhance the brain/body connection. These classes will learn and review tap skills and techniques. Tap classes will also focus on rhythm patterns, timing, and precision. These skills will be practiced in various exercises, combinations, and choreography. Classes will receive costumes and learn routines to perform during the season.

Classes that grow with your child.
Kinder (4-5 yrs)
These classes introduce basic Jazz, Ballet and Tap concepts, skills, and terminology. Students will also practice spatial awareness, rhythm + timing, creative movement, and performance quality through various exercises, activities, games, and choreography. Classes will learn 2 dances and perform 2-3 times during the season.
Elementary (6-7 yrs)
These classes will learn and review tap skills and techniques. Tap classes will also focus on rhythm patterns, timing, and precision. These skills will be practiced in various exercises, combinations, and choreography. Classes will receive costumes and learn routines to perform during the season.
Junior (8-9 yrs)
These classes will learn and review tap skills and techniques. Tap classes will also focus on rhythm patterns, timing, and precision. These skills will be practiced in various exercises, combinations, and choreography. Classes will receive costumes and learn routines to perform during the season.
Teen (13+ Yrs)
These classes will learn and review tap skills and techniques. Tap classes will also focus on rhythm patterns, timing, and precision. These skills will be practiced in various exercises, combinations, and choreography. Classes will have the option of performing in winter and spring recitals.
Adult (18+)
These classes will learn and review tap skills and techniques. Tap classes will also focus on rhythm patterns, timing, and precision. These skills will be practiced in various exercises, combinations, and choreography. Classes will have the option of performing in winter and spring recitals.
Dress Code
Attire: Comfortable dance attire in which dancers can easily and freely move such as leotards, leggings, spandex shorts, fitted tanks/tees, etc. No jeans, baggy pants/shirts, or other clothing that restricts movement. Hair must be pulled back away from the face. No jewelry.
Footwear: Black tap shoes.
All shoes needed for class and performances can be purchased at our on-site dancewear store.
