Beg/ Inter/Adv Jazz
Beginner/Intermediate Jazz (7-11)
These classes introduce technical elements of Jazz. A blend of classic and contemporary jazz techniques. Dancers learn kicks, leaps, turns, isolations, rhythm, coordination, and stage presence while building strength, versatility and flexibility.
What does my dancer wear?
Attire: Comfortable dance attire in which dancers can easily and freely move such as leotards, leggings, spandex shorts, fitted tanks/tees, etc. No jeans, baggy pants/shirts, or other clothing that restricts movement. Hair must be pulled back away from the face. For safety reasons, no jewelry and no chewing gum in class.
Footwear: Dancers may wear jazz shoes, half-soles, or bare feet. All shoes needed for classes and performances can be purchased at our on-site dancewear store.
ⓘ Dance shoes are not to be worn outdoors to keep our studio floors and their performance shoes clean.
Intermediate/Advanced Jazz (12+)
Designed for dancers with prior jazz training and familiarity with core technique and terminology.
